City of Whittlesea Bicycle Plan 2016-2020

City of Whittlesea's Bicycle Plan for 2016-2020 sets out how local council will advocate, facilitate and provide for more bicycle infrastructure and encourage more people to ride their bikes in our new and established communities.

The plan establishes the councils commitment to adopting bicycle use as a viable form of transport that contributes towards health, wellbeing and economic and environmental outcomes. It also encourages people to build social connections and participate in community life.

Funded 2016/17 Projects Included:

Darebin Creek Trail - Sycamore Reserve to Findon Road (Stages 3 - 8)
Plenty Road Shared Path - McKimmies Road to Bush Boulevard
Yan Yean Pipe Track - Vincent Drive to Gordons Road and Crabapple Road to Buttress Cresecent
Findon Road Shared Path - The Lakes Boulevard to Henderson Bridge
Henderson Road Bridge - Modifications to cater for cyclists
Findon Road - Pedestrian/cyclist refuge island east of Darebin Creek
